The holidays can be a very anxious and stressful time of the year for me. I’m usually the one that wishes for Christmas to hurry up and pass so I can resume my “normal life”. I also struggle with SAD (seasonal affective disorder), so winter is most definitely my least favorite season of all.
But with all that being said, there are a few things I would love to do around the holidays and during the wintertime in general…
Times Square NYC on NYE

This was a pre-covid bucket list idea of mine. Whenever we get out of this pandemic, I wouldn’t mind going to New York to see the ball drop at midnight. I don’t know if I would be very fond of being in that large of a crowd, but I would definitely book a nice hotel room and maybe watch from the balcony instead. The entertainment and the energy of the city is one to experience at least once.
Snowed in at a cabin
Snow looks so pretty when you don’t have to be outside in it. So if I was to be snowed in, let it be in a nice luxury cabin with heat, WiFi, lots of food, and running hot water. It would be nice to be secluded for a while and enjoy the calmness.
Christmas in the Caribbean

While everyone is back home freezing in 20-degree weather, I want to wake up in a warm sunny paradise. The sound of the waves hitting the shore as my alarm clock. If money and my current lifestyle wasn’t a factor, I would go away for the whole winter season to be honest. POV: me chilling in a hammock while addressing cute postcards to send back to the states asking my family “how’s the weather?”. Which has me thinking a lot about buying a vacation home or 2nd residence out of the country someday.
Gingerbread House

I’ve never made a gingerbread house before and I’m not even sure if I know what a gingerbread taste like, but it would be a fun bonding experience to have with my family and/or friends. We can turn it into a little party-play some music, dance, sing, and pour some wine while we bake and create.
Hit the slopes

Let’s be honest, I just want to see how good I’ll look in a ski suit. I wouldn’t mind trying all the snow activities- tubing, skiing, snowboarding, and riding snowmobiles. And if I can avoid getting on the ski lift, I would. Cause I’ve seen the movie ‘Frozen’ and I’m not trying to go out like that haha.
Till next time,
